Ochpochmak

Ingredients | Makes about 13 triangles

Dough:

100ml milk

150ml kefir

400g flour

60ml vegetable oil

½ tsp salt

-In a large bowl combine the milk, kefir, oil and salt. Slowly add the flour and knead until it comes together and the dough is smooth (about 5 minutes). Cover with cling film and let it rest for about 30 minutes. 

Filling:

400g beef diced finely

4 potatoes peeled and diced finely

1 onion diced finely

salt and pepper

- combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. 

Method

Set oven to 170C. Split the dough in half and roll each half into a log shape. Cut into 4 or 5 pieces and shape each piece into a ball. Roll out the ball into a circle and add a couple of tbsp of filling in the centre. Form into triangles by pinching the sides together and leave a little hole in the middle. Bake for 30 minutes, remove from oven and add a tsp of melted butter in each triangle. Return to the oven for 15 minutes. Remove and brush with butter. Serve with chicken stock.
